Enrollment and Admission

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CENTER (ECEC)
Age/Entrance Requirements—Trinity Lutheran Christian School’s ECEC is licensed for children three (3) to six (6) years of age. Children in the ECEC program must be at least three (3) years of age and be potty trained. A valid birth certificate must be presented upon application. Exceptions to the age requirement depend on evaluation by the principal and the ECEC Director with approval of the School Board of Education.
Admission Policy--A personal interview with a parent/guardian before acceptance and admission is needed to determine if the child's individual health, physical, social, and emotional development needs can be met by our ECEC.
Prior to admission, all medical and personal forms must be completed and returned to the director for the child's cumulative file. Immunization forms must be completed and up-to-date prior to admittance into our ECEC.
Students in ECEC may be enrolled on a part-time basis. Changes in the enrollment schedule must be made in writing on forms available from the school office and signed by the parent/guardian and the ECEC Director and turned into the office at least two weeks before the change is to take affect. A charge of $25.00 is made for the enrollment change.
The child’s first fifteen (15) days of attendance will be a probationary period before acceptance into the program.

ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Early enrollment is necessary for the School Board of Education to plan for teachers and facilities for the coming school year. Enrollments will be accepted only if openings exist in the established class structure. If classes are filled, a waiting list will be established until openings exist or sufficient students are available to warrant hiring additional teachers.
Re-enrollment of currently enrolled students for the following year will begin the first Monday in February for two weeks. Open enrollment for classes not filled by paid registrations for re-enrollment will begin the third Monday in February. Re-enrollment will then be subject to available openings.

KINDERGARTEN
Age/Entrance Requirements--Children who enroll in Kindergarten must be five (5) years old before September 1. A valid birth certificate must be presented upon application. All students eligible to enter Kindergarten for the next school year are required to take the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment that is administered by Chancy and Bruce Educational Resources to ensure the child is developmentally ready for Kindergarten. Exceptions to the age requirement depend on evaluation by the principal and Kindergarten teacher with approval of the School Board of Education.
Immunization forms must be completed and up-to-date (per state of California requirements) prior to admittance into our school.
There is a five (5) week probationary period beginning with the student’s first day of attendance before final acceptance into the school.
